Status update from Test Samples Development Task Force

Hi,

The Test Samples Development Task Force [1] is a joint task force of
the ERT and WCAG WGs. Its objective is to create minimal examples of
web content that demonstrate correct and incorrect implementations of
WCAG 2.0. Each "test sample" demonstrates a technique or failure (or
sometimes a combination of techniques if such a combination is
necessary to meet an SC). The task force started in the summer of
2006 and has set up a CVS repository [2], a review process [3], a
metadata format to describe the test samples [4], and wiki pages [5].
At a later stage, the task force would also benefit from a test case
management system and an interface that allows external parties to
submit new test samples.
The task force has bi-weekly conference calls on Tuesdays (13:30 to
14:30 UTC; next meeting: 5 February).

The repository currently contains almost 200 test samples that were
submitted by the BenToWeb project. These test samples were created
for the May 2007 or the April 2006 working draft of WCAG 2.0. The
task force now needs to update these test case and move them through
the review process.

Since WCAG 2.0 has reached last call and the working group will
hopefully turn more attention to techniques, this seems a good time
to put this status update on the agenda of one of the next WCAG
conference calls.
