Hi Lisa (and everyone), The WCAG document is nearing completion and will become a recommendation sometime (after Last Call, Candidate Recommendation, and the other steps). Once it is a recommendation it would be locked. The Understanding WCAG and the Techniques documents will be made into NOTES when the WCAG becomes a final recommendation. Until then they will continue to be working drafts. This would probably be sometime in early 2008. Once they are Notes - they can be updated periodically. So the Understanding WCAG and the Techniques docs can continue to evolve until they become NOTES probably somewhere in early 2008. Even after that, they will be periodically updated. So it is most important that we get all comments on WCAG immediately. Looking at Understanding WCAG and the Techniques is important so that you understand WCAG and can make comments now regarding any suggested changes. Changes to the Understanding document - or to the Techniques that would not affect WCAG are not as critical now since they can be made easily later. Thanks. Gregg, Loretta and Michael Chairs and staff contact. -----Original Message----- From: public-comments-wcag20-request@w3.org [mailto:public-comments-wcag20-request@w3.org] On Behalf Of Lisa Seeman Sent: Thursday, June 28, 2007 6:10 AM To: 'WCAG' Cc: public-comments-WCAG20@w3.org Subject: techniques document review Hi Gregg told us that there is no urgent hurry for the techniques document and we should concentrate on reviewing the main WCAG core document (in an email to the PF working group on 6.26.2007).
