One thing that troubles me about the WCAG 1.0 to WCAG 2.0 mapping is how often success criteria get re-referenced. I don't have a suggestion for changing this since the approach used is the most comprehensive and accurate way to compare the two documents. There is also the very positive aspect that the re-use demonstrated how much more broadly applicable are the 2.0 SC as compared to the 1.0 Checkpoints. The notes make additional reference to checkpoints, but I did not count those here. Summary of SC re-use in Appendix D. SC 2.0 tally (iff > 1) 1.1.1 3 1.2.2 2 1.3.1 8 1.3.3 3 1.3.4 2 2.1.1 5 2.1.2 3 2.4.1 2 2.4.4 4 2.4.6 2 3.2.3 2 3.2.5 3 4.1.2 3 4.2.1 6 4.2.2 2 4.2.3 2 I have been working on a 508 to WCAG 2.0 mapping that cuts down on the redundancy, but it is more an approximation. Please drop me a line if you would like a look, just be forewarned that it is very much a draft.
