    Hi Chris,

    it was developed between Trace Center (Gregg Vanderheiden and David Kelso)
    working with Aries Arditi, a vision scientist from the Lighthouse (in New
    York).

    We are writing something up on it but is not finished.

    You can see some slides that were used in developing it and in reviewing it
    at
    <http://trace.wisc.edu/docs/luminosity-contrast-ratio-examples/>

    Also Gez wrote about it at
    <http://www.juicystudio.com/article/luminositycontrastratioalgorithm.php>

    Is there any background information on this new algorithm? Where did it come
    from?

    Cheers,
    Chris
