Chris, adding the text that the title must contain text other than whitespace is fine with me. Although it might be better to address the whitespace issue in the test that requires that the title describe the document. Either solution is acceptable to me. thanks, -becky Becky Gibson Web Accessibility Architect IBM Emerging Internet Technologies 5 Technology Park Drive Westford, MA 01886 Voice: 978 399-6101; t/l 333-6101 Email: gibsonb@us.ibm.com "Chris Ridpath" <chris.ridpath@utoronto.ca> Sent by: w3c-wai-gl-request@w3.org 02/07/2005 03:18 PM To "WAI WCAG List" <w3c-wai-gl@w3.org>, <Becky_Gibson@notesdev.ibm.com> cc Subject Re: [techs] tests 51 - title We've been using the text "the empty string ("")" to mean the string is completely empty. I don't recall a specific term for empty that includes whitespace. We can include that in the test though. The title could stay as "title is not empty" and I'll include text within the test that says something like "must contain text other than whitespace". Would that be OK? Chris
