Chris,
adding the text that the title must contain text other than whitespace is
fine with me. Although it might be better to address the whitespace issue
in the test that requires that the title describe the document. Either
solution is acceptable to me.

We've been using the text "the empty string ("")" to mean the string is
completely empty.
I don't recall a specific term for empty that includes whitespace. We can
include that in the test though. The title could stay as "title is not
empty" and I'll include text within the test that says something like
"must contain text other than whitespace". Would that be OK?
