I just visited the Quicktips page so I could get the text and incorporate the tips in a presentation I'm giving tomorrow. Something odd is going on. Here is a transcript of how JAWS 5.1 reads the page at http://www.w3.org/WAI/References/QuickTips/#QuickTips: Everything is just fine except that the "reference text" doesn't appear to be something JAWS can find... <transcript> WAI-QuickTips W3C logo Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) logo WAI Quick Tips Reference Card Introduction | Quick Tips | Ordering | Translations Introduction The following " Quick Tips" introduce key concepts of accessible Web design. Please note that these are not complete guidelines, but only a memory prompt for concepts from the W3C Recommendation Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 which include information critical to understanding and implementing the Quick Tips. There is an easy-to-use Checklist, a detailed document describing Techniques for implementing the Guidelines, and a Curriculum which explains how to use the guidelines. The Quick Tips were developed by the W3C/WAI Education and Outreach Working Group, and last updated in January, 2001. Information on other activities and resources of W3C's Web Accessibility Initiative is available on the WAI home page. Here is the current reference text of the Quick Tips in English: QUICK TIPS TO MAKE ACCESSIBLE WEB SITES For Complete Guidelines & Checklist: www.w3.org/WAI List of 1 items * Images & animations: </&ANIMATIONS. list end </transcript> Is JAWS misbehaving? Or is the page misbehaving? Thanks! John "Good design is accessible design."
