Introducing myself

Greetings EOWG,

I'm thrilled to join you. Let me briefly introduce myself:

I'm the Head of Accessibility Design at Public Digital Innovation Space and
the Head Consultant of Accessibility Design at the National Institute of
Cyber Security, Taiwan. In 2010, I authored a book on Web Accessibility in
Taiwanese Mandarin, which was the first of its kind in Taiwan. The book was
later translated and published in China in 2011. Additionally, I served as
a co-editor for the web accessibility guidelines for the Taiwan government,
based on WCAG 2.0, in 2010.

I have been advocating for accessibility since 2002, and the web is not the
only domain I have worked in. I have been practicing audiological care as
an audiologist since 2000, working in hearing aids clinics, local
hospitals, regional hospitals, and medical centers. I also served on the
national audiologist qualification examination committee, focusing on
hearing/listening assistive technologies.

Furthermore, I am an external supervisor at several city/county assistive
technology centers. I collaborate with the Ministry of Labor as a visiting
counselor, specifically on job accommodations for workers with
disabilities. I have been involved in the implementation of assistive
technology in special education from K-12 to higher education. I am also
qualified (by the Construction and Planning Agency) as a field inspector
for barrier-free facilities and equipment.

With my extensive experience, I believe that we already have robust
accessibility guidelines in place. However, the true challenge lies in
outreach. I would like to contribute to EOWG so that we can facilitate
tangible changes in the real world.

On a personal note, I am an Asian male in my 40s, rather reserved, and
primarily fluent in Taiwanese Mandarin. I reside in a small township in the
middle-west of Taiwan.

I am looking forward to working with you in any capacity and hope to be an
asset to this group.

Best,
/Jedi/
