Hiya EOWG folks, I'm excited for us to be working on translations of EOWG and other WAI resources! I have some time allocated to work on translations now. A start to overall approach, issues, etc. is here: https://github.com/w3c/wai-translations/wiki/WAI-Translations-Overall-Approach,-Issues,-Etc Eric put together a mock-up of the straw proposals for the user interface (UI) at: https://w3c.github.io/wai-translation-playground/people-use-web/fr/ Please review those two links. Some issues have proposals that are ready for your input now. Other things marked "OPEN" I'll flesh out more and I'll let you know when there are proposals for those points. Feel free to comment on anything now, including things marked OPEN. I started GitHub issues for some things that you might want to comment on now: https://github.com/w3c/wai-translations/issues Feel free to comment just "+1" or "no strong opinion" or such. For the issue on labeling, we would like perspectives on why specific options might work better or not as well for the target audience: people who want or need a language other than English. Comment here: https://github.com/w3c/wai-translations/issues/7 We'll talk about translations at the face-to-face meeting next week. If you can get your comments in GitHub beforehand, that will help the discussion get further along next week. Thanks so much for your input! Best, ~Shawn
