Hi Friends, I’m Anthony Fernando, and I recently joined EOWG as a Pearson representative. I’m presently working as an Accessibility Specialist for Pearson Lanka (Based in Sri Lanka <http://www.srilanka.travel/index.php?route=common/home>) My responsibility is to review all the sites for accessibility ‘AA’ conformance, that goes out of Sri Lanka office and to help the development teams and testers to make sites accessible. I joined Pearson as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer and later my passion for accessibility made me become the one and only accessibility specialist in Pearson Lanka, may be the only Accessibility Specialist in my country. In Sri Lanka there is no proper legal framework established yet to allow equal access to differently abled people, and community is less aware of the rights of differently abled people. But as an Individual I’m trying my best to help differently abled people in Sri Lanka. I took the initiative to employ 2 visually challenged people to Pearson Lanka as Accessibility Testers. Further I took leadership to make Pearson Learning Studio product accessible. I have obtained a BSc in IS (MMU) and an MBA from the University of Wales. I’m married and blessed with 2 little princesses in age 2 & 4. I love playing the guitar and enjoy singing with my friends at leisure. As a hobby I collect paper money and coins. I take this as a much valued opportunity and I’m looking forward to work with all of you. Kind Regards, *Anthony Fernando* *Accessibility Specialist*, *MBA (UOW)* Pearson Lanka | M:+94-773-925755 | Mobile Map : (8)7818
