Thanks for the feedback, Liam! We had noted in previous discussions that if the Policy resources were updated, then we would want them high in the nav. If we update the nav within a week, we probably want to leave then down where they are since those resources are our of date. However, there is a fair possibility that we'll update those resources in the next couple months, before we implement a significant redesign. Let's discuss how we want to handle this in EOWG today... ~Shawn On 11/25/2010 8:12 AM, Liam McGee wrote: > Looking very good. > > Suggested revision: Policy Resources to be promoted to top level > > Rationale: Although legislators and organisational policymakers are a small group, they are a disporoportionately important one because of the knock-on effects of their actions. A policymaker needs to feel that the WAI site is for people like them, and we should not assume that they will expect to find policy resources if they look hard enough. I do not believe that there is a strong enough 'scent of information' at the top level of nav to make a policy-maker expect to find policy resources within the site nav. > > Importance: medium - until either the 'Developing Organizational Policies on Web Accessibility' page is updated to provide references to live examples of organisation policies, or the 'national policies relating to web accessibility' pages are updated to reflect new legislation and/or court judgements, at which point high. > > Pretty sure I flagged something like this before, but just wanted to make sure it got logged. > > Regards to you all > > Liam > > On 24/11/2010 19:46, Shawn Henry wrote: >> Active EOWG folks, >> >> Please note that we hope this Friday is the last time for EOWG to discuss two things, and therefore it is especially important that you read through them ahead of time! >> >> 1.
