Hi, Thank you to Mr. Loughborough and Shawn for clearing up the status of the text. I think we could get into a very interesting and certainly very long philosophical discussion but that this list would not be the place for it. I will simply say that accommodating, let alone celebrating diversity can not be achieved without recognising that diversity. If it has come to the point (or should I say, come back to the point) where talking about disability is discouraged (something I note is more and more frequent), than we are certainly not recognising that diversity and, I believe, will fail to ensure true equality. I realise that there is a strong pull in various spheres of society to transform the meaning of accessibility and in the Web development field especially to include everything from mobile phones to SEO, etc., (in effect, transforming accessibility into universality) and trying to avoid talking about people with disabilities. But I doubt making us invisible will really move us forward. Anyway, thanks for considering my concerns. I will look forward to seeing more work on this.
