Dear Active EOWG Participants, As we discussed last week, we would like to publish an updated Public Working Draft of the Mobile-Accessibility overlap document. Alan and MWBP Working Group suggests publishing it essentially as is, leaving the "WCAG 2.0 and MWBP Together" section in the rough state that it is now. Following our discussion at the EOWG teleconference tomorrow, Alan will makes changes and provide an updated version by early next week for your review prior to publication. For now, please answer "When will you complete your review and survey?" - either: I plan to complete this survey by Thursday 26 June; I will complete this survey by [the date in the comment field below]; or I will not review the document this time... This question and the rest of the survey to approve publication, is available at: <http://www.w3.org/2002/09/wbs/35532/mobile-ax-overlap-June2008/> Thank you, ~Shawn -------- Original Message -------- Subject: Mobile/Accessibility Document New Editor's Draft 13 June 2008 Resent-Date: Fri, 13 Jun 2008 10:03:16 +0000 Resent-From: w3c-wai-eo@w3.org Date: Fri, 13 Jun 2008 11:46:36 +0200 From: Alan Chuter <achuter@technosite.es> Reply-To: achuter@technosite.es To: MWI MWBP Member List <member-bpwg@w3.org>, EOWG <w3c-wai-eo@w3.org> Dear WG participants, There is a new draft of this simplified document [1]. This version includes: * Work on the two WCAG 1.0 pages done by Yeliz * Text of WCAG 2.0 success criteria * An attempt at the "Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 and Mobile Web Best Practices 1.0 Together" page [2] * Acknowledgements section For the both-together page [2] it has been difficult to find an approach that is feasible given the time available and the complexity of bridging both recommendations in both directions. Please review the "Partially Overlapping and Complementary" section [3]. This has not been started until now and needs more thought on what is needed. This version will be discussed during the EOWG call today and the outcome of that discussion will help guide the discussion at next week's MWBP WG face to face next week. best regards, Alan [1] http://www.w3.org/2005/MWI/BPWG/Group/TaskForces/Accessibility/drafts/ED-mwbp-wcag-20080613/Overview.html [2] http://www.w3.org/2005/MWI/BPWG/Group/TaskForces/Accessibility/drafts/ED-mwbp-wcag-20080613/together.html [3] http://www.w3.org/2005/MWI/BPWG/Group/TaskForces/Accessibility/drafts/ED-mwbp-wcag-20080613/together.html#part_overlap_complement -- Alan Chuter achuter@technosite.es Technosite http://www.technosite.es -- Shawn Lawton Henry, W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) about: http://www.w3.org/People/Shawn/ phone: +1-617-395-7664 e-mail: shawn@w3.org
