EOWG, Here are the questions that we will walk through in our discussion of ATAG 2.0 Working Draft today. Note that we also have the Before/After Demo on the agenda, so we will have limited time for this. Please remember that we have an overview of ATAG, which may be helpful as a refresher before reading the current ATAG 2.0 draft. http://www.w3.org/WAI/intro/atag.php The call for review that was sent to the WAI IG list http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/w3c-wai-ig/2005OctDec/0187.html included several questions on which the Authoring Tool Accessibility Guidelines Working Group particularly wanted feedback. Question #2 is pertinent to the review perspective that EOWG takes with WAI guidelines: - Does the updated conformance section, with its concept of "Content Type-Specific WCAG Benchmark" seem like a workable mechanism? In addition, we should consider: - Is the ATAG 2.0 Working Draft http://www.w3.org/TR/2005/WD-ATAG20-20051123/ understandable? Please consider the Abstract, Status, Introduction, http://www.w3.org/TR/2005/WD-ATAG20-20051123/#Introduction and Conformance Section separately. http://www.w3.org/TR/2005/WD-ATAG20-20051123/#Conformance - Are the guidelines and success criteria clear? http://www.w3.org/TR/2005/WD-ATAG20-20051123/#guidelines - Are the definitions in the glossary clear and not conflicting with other WAI glossaries including EOWG's basic glossary? http://www.w3.org/TR/2005/WD-ATAG20-20051123/#definitions Regards, - Judy -- Judy Brewer +1.617.258.9741 http://www.w3.org/WAI Director, Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI), World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) MIT/CSAIL Building 32-G530 32 Vassar Street Cambridge, MA, 02139, USA
