It has been a busy summer at Michigan State University. We just launched an updated version of the Michigan State University (MSU) Web Accessibility Site. (http://www.msu.edu/webaccess/) We have loaded it up with all kinds of tools, resources, and articles that we think the university community might find helpful. The site is currently getting highlighted in the MSU home page (http://www.msu.edu) spotlight. Due to the heavy traffic the MSU home page gets, this gives really good visibility to the new Web Accessibility site and to Web Accessibility in general. I have also been accepted to give a presentation on Evaluating Web Sites for Accessibility at the Higher Education Web Developers Conference 2005 in Rochester, NY from Nov. 6-9. This will be my first conference presentation :-). MSU is working on an institute-wide public online events calendar. We are making it a high priority for the events calendar to be as accessible as possible. Also, in future implementations of the MSU home page, the MSU Web Team has made Web Accessibility a very high priority.
