Hello, In Australia we are finding considerable increased interest in our workshop offerings [1] this year. We have had to double up on many web accessibility sessions and are finding we are booked out well in advance. We have also had recent requests to run in-house workshops for groups from Australian Parliament and from the South Australian Government and interest from some local governments. We have introduced a new workshop on Writing for the Web which is being presented by Dey Alexander [2] from Monash University and is proving very popular. This workshop has been developed with a strong emphasis on the usability and accessibility of web content and is generating a lot of interest for in-house presentations too. This month we have already run two web accessibility workshops in Adelaide. For the remainder of the month we have one in Melbourne next week and one in Canberra in the last week. We are also running both a public and an in-house writing for the web workshop and two in-house half-day seminars on writing for the web. I am also presenting at an Intranet Conference [3] in Sydney next week, and at a corporate breakfast meeting and at an Australian Government seminar [4] in Canberra the week after. The Australian Govt seminar is a joint one with Dey introducing both web accessibility and clear writing.
