Retrofitting Web Sites for Accessibility I believe that this would be a good medium for getting some "education" out there about the general notion of retrofitting as a "necessary evil" rather than just a patchup procedure. Sort of a "we told you retrofitting was a bitch, now see to it that it never comes up on your watch again." By training retrofitters we might be tacitly condoning its source, which was the old "let's add the access stuff after we get the 'real' material up." It is vital that those charged with retrofitting raise hue/cry so that their policies become modified to include inclusion in all their future plans, because most material on the Web gets replaced rather often and our greater concern is to obviate the need for retrofits by pre-ordaining accessibility as an integral part of things. Love.
