Last week, comments from the Education and Outreach Working Group (EOWG) were sent to me. There are comments on ATAG itself, followed by comments on ATAG supporting documents that EOWG is working on. http://www.w3.org/WAI/EO/wiki/ATAG_review#ATAG_2.0 The comments are mostly editorial, and I have made those changes. They are marked as [JS: ]. However, there are two comments that I thought merited review from the working group. The comments and proposals are detailed below, and are in a survey. https://www.w3.org/2002/09/wbs/35520/20130807/ Please complete the survey by Monday 12 August before the meeting, especially if you are not able to attend. EO2. consider changing from "XYZ must ABC" to "XYZ are ABC", for example: from "Editing-views must be perceivable" to "Editing-views are perceivable" I propose that AUWG approve this change. Because these are Guidelines, using RFC2119 keywords (must, should, may) is discouraged. EO3. Guideline B.3.1.2 I don't understand this "instructions are provided from the check" - this phrase needs clarification. Existing: B.3.1.2 Help Authors Decide: If the authoring tool provides checks that require authors to decide whether a potential web content accessibility problem (WCAG) is correctly identified (i.e., manual checking and semi-automated checking), then instructions are provided from the check that describe how to decide. (Level A) Proposed B.3.1.2 Help Authors Decide: If the authoring tool provides checks *(also called an accessibility checker)* that require authors to decide whether a potential web content accessibility problem (WCAG) is correctly identified (i.e., manual checking and semi-automated checking), then instructions are provided from the *checker* that describe how to decide.
