Tim,
This mail seems to be a bit out of context and can be interrupted many different ways. Can you explain a bit?
All best,
Alex

Hi Tim, Loretta,

In the Accessible Digital Office Documents (ADOD) project (http://adod.idrc.ocad.ca/), we pulled together step-by-step accessible authoring guides for a range of office suites.

In addition to the document for Acrobat 9 Pro (http://adod.idrc.ocad.ca/acrobat9), which is devoted to the creation of accessible PDFs, there is a section on PDF output for many of the other tools (including word processors, spreadsheet and presentation tools):
OpenOffice Writer: http://adod.idrc.ocad.ca/oowriter#_Toc284511695
MS Office 2007: http://adod.idrc.ocad.ca/word2007#_Toc284342222
Etc., etc.

Cheers,
Jan

Yes, I'd love to get additional info from them about known tools that support accessible PDF output.

I think all of our PDF techniques demonstrate at least one authoring or editing tool. Can we add something like the following to the end of each description, before the examples?

Examples x and Y demonstrate how to XXXX using some specific
authoring tools. Other PDF tools may provide similar
functions. Check whether this type of functionality is provided by PDF tools in {link to Applications
that Produce Accessible PDF in the PDF Techniques Overview}.
