There are new phone numbers for Zakim for France and UK. They are in different cities, so there may be different local charges. See below for more details. The dial-in numbers for Zakim are now: +1.617.761.6200 (Boston) +33.4.26.46.79.03 (Paris) +44.203.318.0479 (London) -------- Original Message -------- Subject: changed FR and UK dial-in numbers for teleconferences Resent-Date: Thu, 08 Jul 2010 03:39:40 +0000 Resent-From: chairs@w3.org Date: Wed, 07 Jul 2010 23:38:45 -0400 From: Ralph R. Swick <swick@w3.org> To: Group Chairs <chairs@w3.org> The UK (+44) and FR (+33) dial-in numbers for the W3C Zakim teleconference bridge have changed. The dial-in numbers for Zakim are now: +1.617.761.6200 (Boston) +33.4.26.46.79.03 (Paris) +44.203.318.0479 (London) -- http://www.w3.org/Guide/1998/08/teleconference-calendar Please note that the city locations for the UK and FR numbers have also changed and this may affect your local calling charges. The change in number is a result of our having changed service providers for this forwarding service as the previous service provider has been unresponsive to our trouble reports. We do not have much experience with this new provider, so feel free to report your experiences to us at w3c-archive@w3.org, ted@w3.org, vivien@w3.org. As with the previous numbers, the service uses call forwarding over VoIP and thus is subject to Internet effects. This can affect both its reliability and its quality. The primary number for Zakim remains +1.617.761.6200. If you have trouble with the +33 or +44 numbers, please remember to fall back to the +1 number. Thanks to Ted Guild and Vivien Lacourba for establishing this new forwarding provider. We are not at this time open to requests for numbers in other countries. We are aware of the growing desire for direct VoIP access to Zakim. We will continue to search for a cost-effective means to provide incoming SIP access and will report progress if and when we have something to share. Regards, -Ralph
