[recorded in [5]http://www.w3.org/2009/11/16-au-minutes.html#action01] <trackbot> Created ACTION-195 - Propose to add a note the we do not expect that keyboard controls are not always possible to have equivalent usability, and it is expected that someone would use an alternative control or assistive technology to access the functions. We need to have a keyboard "hook" to access all function. [on Jutta Treviranus - due 2009-11-23]. A short informal meeting was held due to the sparce attendence. We briefly discussed the exception for keyboard accessibility for drawing tools. Jeanne noted that she brought the issue up at a w3c meeting and received input from a number of team members that all these accessibility problems had already been discussed and solved. They urged Jeanne not to allow exceptions. Jutta noted that we are still waiting for a proposal from Greg, and did wanted to wait for Greg's input. We discussed feedback from the Working Draft. Jutta is publishing a link in a newsletter she has access to, Sueann is getting feedback from IBM, and the PFWG has requested until December 15 for comments. We discussed whether the deadline for comments should be extended, and decided not to extend the deadline, but to deal with it on a case-by-case basis. Cynthia Shelly from Microsoft has offered to host a F2F before March. It was noted that March is a busy month, but it would be very useful to have a F2F to process comments from Last Call. More discussion on F2F next week. Summary of Action Items [NEW] ACTION: JT to propose to add a note the we do not expect that keyboard controls are not always possible to have equivalent usability, and it is expected that someone would use an alternative control or assistive technology to access the functions.
