Good point. Here is a new proposal. Remember this is rationale text (informative rather than normative): A.4.1 Support interoperability with assistive technologies. [Priority 1]. Rationale: Assistive technologies (e.g. screen readers, screen magnifiers, etc.) used by many authors with disabilities rely on software applications to provide data and control via prescribed communication protocols. Roberto Scano: in this point, I suggest to expand something about the correct use of accessibility API (or define "interoperabile with assistive technology" as the communication "machine-machine" using OS API) Proposed: A.4.1 Support interoperability with assistive technologies. [Priority 1]. Rationale: Authors who use assistive technologies (e.g. screen readers, etc.) may not be able to use authoring tools that are not sufficiently interoperable with their assistive technology.
