The purpose of this message is to send a summary of the Italian CAT WCAG 2.2 (as stated in §5.3 of the Policies for Authorized W3C Translations: http://www.w3.org/2005/02/TranslationPolicy.html><http://www.w3.org/2005/02/TranslationPolicy.html

During the public 30-day review period, only one comment was received regarded previous WCAG 2.0 / 2.1 agreed success criteria text that don’t regards the new content added by WCAG 2.2 and translator group without objections agreed to reject. We believe that the absence of massive public comments shows the broad and productive involvement of the stakeholders in the internal review process which was led by the CAT.

The stakeholders, whom LTO has initially engaged, have reviewed the translation: from the government sector, from civic activism and disabilities-related non-governmental organizations, as well as from the private sector (accessibility experts) all listed in https://wcag.it/partecipanti/. Almost all reviewing organizations confirmed that they have reviewed the document and approved the translation, by sending confirmation emails to the dedicated mailing list public-auth-trans-it@w3.org <mailto:public-auth-trans-it@w3.org> or by phone. Only 1 reviewer is unreachable.

In response to the W3C checklist, the Italian LTO confirms that:

1) All of the stakeholder organizations that participated in the final review of the translation were part of the list of reviewers that received the request to participate.

2) There are no objections to the publication amongst those who did not explicitly approve the translation or those who did not comment in the review process.

The revised Italian CAT of WCAG 2.2 is available at: https://wcag.it/cat/

An errata page will be maintained by the LTO at the following address: https://wcag.it/errata/wcag22/

According to §5 of the Policies for Authorized W3C Translations, we consider that the translation is completed.
