Brian: > I do think we will need to get real implementation experience though. Ahh, my chance to lord it over Brian! As the HP rep, I understand the HP team are committed to implementing the recommendations of the WG. So, if the WG cares to come to a well-articulated datatyping proposal then I am confident that the HP team will be able to provide some implentators' feedback. (I would be disappointed if we did not manage to give feedback in response to a working draft, rather than say a proposed rec). But Brian, please note, there is a chicken and egg problem here - implementators can't give feedback until there is a proposal on the table. We should consider input from people like Andy Seaborne, and yourself (with the typed Jena interface for accessing literals), who can describe how they do typing currently, but feedback will come later. Hence getting datatyping right may take a couple of rounds. :( Also, I am guessing that any implementation will be more than a few days' work. (Even for HP engineers!) Jeremy
