12 February 2013 — W3C invites media, analysts, and other attendees of Mobile World Congress to meet with us and learn ways the Open Web Platform is impacting industry at large. W3C will showcase demonstrations of HTML5 and other open W3C Web technologies at its booth in App Planet, Stand 8.1H49. CEO Jeff Jaffe, W3C staff, and participating W3C Members will be available as expert resources for  media stories and analyst reports on how the Web is changing mobile, television, advertising, games, publishing, automotive, health care, and other industries.

W3C will feature two Web apps, including a camera app for taking photos and another app for displaying photos in an online gallery on a variety of devices. In addition, W3C Members like Adesis, Ayumento de Zaragoza, Intel, Joshfire, Tapquo, and partners like webinos will demonstrate their unique Open Web Platform applications. Be sure to check W3C’s demo schedule for the latest updates.

Visitors are encouraged to meet with W3C experts and staff to discuss topics such as:

	• Mobile and various other industries are experiencing the impact of the Open Web Platform. Our mobile world will be dramatically different after 2014 as the HTML5 specification is finalized.
	• HTML5 has reached ‘early majority’ phase of global market adoption. W3C has launched new projects to improve the interoperability and performance of the Open Web Platform.
	• The W3C community is enhancing Web applications with new capabilities such as responsive design, WebRTC, NFC and Web payments, full integration of video--all with HTML5 as the cornerstone.
	• The new W3C HTML5 training course as part of the W3DevCampus online training program for Web developers, among its most popular mobile Web courses.
