Basic box types:

RadicalBox/SqrtBox
FractionBox
GridBox
RowBox  -- horizontally justified text
TextBox -- embedded strings that don't follow math notation rules
ScriptBox -- various forms for position sub/superscripts, limits
        certain characters that occur in a limits position (such as '_',
        and '^') are treated as diacritical characters and formatted
        a little differently.


Leaf boxes (not visible to the user):
TokenBox
SpanningBox -- used for characters that grow
LineBox

Boxes that override defaults:
StyleBox        -- indicates font and other option changes
AdjustmentBox   -- spacing tweaks including changing a boxes apparent size

Some specialty boxes:
FrameBox
ButtonBox       -- used for palettes/hyperlinks and other actions

Semantics:
InterpretationBox -- override the default interpretation of the contents
