Problem with W3C HTML Validation Service

Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 x64
SeaMonkey 2.53.12 (x64)

When I try to validate the HTML of a Web page at
<http://validator.w3.org/> with SeaMonkey, it never ends its
"validator.w3.org / Checking if the site connection is secure".  I am
forced to use Firefox.  On the other hand, I have no problem validating
the CSS of a Web page at <http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/> with
SeaMonkey.
