So this seems like a silly question but it bothers me several times now. I've long noticed that the .mbox files of a public mailing list (linked from any arhive under the title "Mailbox format") are Member-only. I believe it is some kind of mistake, but I still want to get nod from the W3C Team before I share those files, which are useful for a newcomer of a list. The "Intellectual Rights FAQ - W3C"[1] doesn't seem to mention who holds the copyright of the mails in a public mailing list, but I assume copyright isn't a big issue given that there are gmane mirrors of serveral popular W3C mailing lists.
