Regarding the page at http://beta.w3.org/standards/webarch/ Breaking the main column down into a left column and a right column (repeating the breakdown at the top level of the page structure) frequently wastes a lot of horizontal space. Notice in the attached screen shot that the over half of the horizontal space is blank! (Remember that not all users use full-screen windows. Some us want to allocate our screen space to multiple windows (perhaps a browser window to view a web page and, say, um, maybe a mailer window write a message about it). :-) Try viewing at least two web pages side by side and check how your pages work at that width. )) Browser: SeaMonkey 1.1.14 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.19) Gecko/20081204 SeaMonkey/1.1.14 Daniel -- (Plain text sometimes corrupted to HTML "courtesy" of Microsoft Exchange.)
