A few comments on your beta site.

Hi

My name is Les Kerr and I am vision and motor impaired.

I have just bee looking at your new beta W3C site and would like to
make the gollowing observations:

1. Design: I quite liked the openess of the design. It is clear and
clean unlike a lot of very cluttered websites you find today.

2. SWtructure: The site was very poor however when you attempt to
increase the font size through my browser (firefox 3.0). I was unable
to enlarge the font to 200% without losing the structure of the
Desktop style. I lost text on the right side of the page as well as
text from one column overriding text in column next to it. I did try
the single column layout and found that I could enlarge it to 200%
without losing structure but that only happened by a bit of trial and
error. I feel that all versions of your site should at least be able
to be enlarged to 200% without losing structure.

3. Colour Contrast: I found your choice of colours used on the beta
site very poor. Grey on grey is not a very good combination for the
vision impaired to see (and no I dont use a screen reader, not all
vision impaired people do). While I am not advocating that you go to
black type, you really need to darken all the grey type you use on the
site if you are seeking to make the site accessible to all.

4. Contact link: As I am unable at times to use a mouse one thing that
really annoys me is when I have to tab my way all through a site to
get to the contact information. I strongly recommend that you include
a contact link at the top of the page as well as the bottom if you
want one there as well. Just beside the search function would be great.

I hope my comments are of some help.

Regards
Les Kerr
