Hi, w3.org is sending .rng files (e.g. http://www.w3.org/Graphics/SVG/1.2/rng/Tiny-1.2/Tiny-1.2.rng) and .rnc files (e.g. http://www.w3.org/TR/2006/WD-its-20060222/its.rnc) as text/plain. This prevents processing by agents that honor Authoritative Metadata: http://www.w3.org/2001/tag/doc/mime-respect .rng is XML but doesn't have a specific */*+xml type. Therefore, the most appropriate MIME type for .rng is application/xml. .rnc has a registered MIME type: http://www.iana.org/assignments/media-types/application/relax-ng-compact-syntax Best regards, -- Henri Sivonen hsivonen@iki.fi http://hsivonen.iki.fi/
