Re: The Semantic Web Vision is finally ready to hit escape Velocity!

You are absolutely right Kingsley.

Eight months ago I just pointed the agents at the specs and they have been doing it ever since.

All that effort and waiting - its here. We just had to take the human out of the loop.

Subject: The Semantic Web Vision is finally ready to hit escape Velocity!

Hi Everyone,

It's been a while!

Computing has crossed an important threshold: AI Agents are turning decades of infrastructure and open standards into something we can finally use through natural language.

In a new blog post, I chronicle the journey from the pre-Web era to today's emerging Agentic Web.

Naturally, there's a live demo: a reactive dashboard generated by Muse as it interacts deductively with Virtuoso and the age-old Northwind SQL database—exposed as a Semantic Web through declaratively defined RDF Views, with no data copying required.

In my opinion, the arduous journey getting The Semantic Web Project to escape velocity is over.

Why?

Today's LLM-powered AI Agents have been trained on all the key specifications, dramatically reducing implementation and usability friction that held things back for decades.

Simply tell your Agent (a context rich harness wrapped around your preferred LLM), in natural language, what you want done with the data—and what kind of artifact you want to visualize the results.

The standards were already there.
The infrastructure was already there.
The data was already there.

The missing piece was a natural-language interface that made it all accessible.

That interface has arrived.
