Adaptation and Personalization Community Group

Semantic Web Interest Group,

Hello. I am pleased to share that the Adaptation and Personalization Community Group is now proposed.

The proposed group plans to explore and discuss how users could express finer-grained content preferences, e.g., those pertaining to reading level, language fluency, and background knowledge. The proposed group plans to explore and discuss topics including: artificial intelligence, adaptive hypermedia, adaptive explanation, adaptive learning, adaptive instructional systems, and user modeling.

Some of the group's planned explorations and discussions will involve Semantic Web technologies. For instance, designing an ontology for defining "adaptation parameters" which end-users would be able to configure and adjust in order to consume manually-created and/or AI-generated variations of Web content.

If you would like to support the creation of this proposed Community Group, please do feel free to here: https://www.w3.org/community/ by clicking the "Support this Group" button. Thank you.

Best regards,
Adam Sobieski
