Dear colleagues, We cordially invite you to submit your papers to the second Bridge on Artificial Intelligence for Scholarly Communication (AI4SC), co-located with the 40th Annual AAAI Conference on Artificial Intelligence! BRIDGE INFO Bridge day and location: January 20, 2026 | Singapore Website: https://sites.google.com/view/ai4sc/editions/ai4sc-2026-40th-aaai [1] LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/groups/14997014/ [2] Submissions deadline: October 31, 2025 Submissions via TIB-OP: https://www.tib-op.org/ojs/index.php/ocp/login [3] The Second AAAI bridge on AI for Scholarly Communication (AI4SC) aims to gather researchers from all disciplines who are developing or using AI related to scholarly communication to share their methods, approaches, experiences, identify common problems, facilitate collaboration and define future research directions. By bringing together experts in computer science and researchers across various domains, we aim to tackle real-world problems using AI and maximize the impact of scientific research in an interdisciplinary approach. An essential part of the bridge are discussion sessions. During the second edition, the community will discuss the following research questions: - How can AI be effectively used in scholarly communication? - Which tools should be used for which purpose? - What methodologies, methods, and tools are being developed for AI in scholarly communication? - Which ethical questions must be addressed to avoid misuse of AI in scholarly communication? For reference, please see a paper written by last year's workshop participants: Jiomekong, A., McGinty, H. K., Mills, K. G., Oelen, A., Rajabi, E., McElroy, H., Christou, A., Saini, A., Zebaze, J.A., Kim, H., Jacyszyn, A.M., & Auer, S. (2025). Charting the Future of Scholarly Knowledge with AI: A Community Perspective. arXiv preprint arXiv:2509.02581, https://doi.org/10.48550/arXiv.2509.02581 [4] IMPORTANT DATES Submissions open: October 1 Submissions deadline: October 31, end of the day AoE Acceptance notice: November 14 Early bird AAAI registration closes: November 16 Camera-ready submission deadline: November 28, end of the day AoE Bridge takes place: January 20, 2026 @ AAAI TOPICS OF INTEREST Topics of special relevance for the bridge include, but are not limited to: - Best practices and lessons learned in applying AI to scholarly communication - Intertwining knowledge graphs and neural approaches (neurosymbolic systems) - Design and development of scholarly methodologies and tools for knowledge extraction and organization - Ethics, responsibility, and trust in AI-driven scholarly communication - Measuring and evaluating the impact of AI in scientific research Given that LLMs is the state-of-the-art in several NLP tasks, a particular attention will be oriented towards the use of LLMs for scientific knowledge extraction and organization.
