================================================ Transactions on Graph Data & Knowledge (TGDK) Special Issue: Resources Detailed Call: https://tgdk.org/si/2024-resources.html Pre-checks due: June 3rd, 2024 Full submissions due: June 20th, 2024 ================================================ Resources play an essential role in various aspects of Computer Science research. In the context of Graph Data & Knowledge, such resources may include benchmarks, datasets, engines, frameworks, interfaces, knowledge graphs, languages, ontologies, pre-trained models, standards, tools, user logs, web applications and services, etc. Unfortunately, despite the advances that such resources enable, the work invested into creating and maintaining them is often undervalued in a research setting. In this TGDK Special Issue on Resources, we solicit submission of journal articles that describe in detail a resource relevant to research on Graph Data & Knowledge per the topics described in TGDK’s Call for Papers (https://tgdk.org/cfp.html). Specifically, we are interested in descriptions of mature resources in this area that have already enjoyed significant adoption by third parties (not sharing an affiliation with those involved in creating or maintaining the resource). Such adoption may be, for example, in the context of research, industry or a specific user community. It is generally expected (unless clearly justified otherwise) that the resource described be made publicly available. == Pre-check service == In order to ensure the suitability of a resource prior to investing effort preparing a full submission, TGDK’s Editors-in-Chief will provide a lightweight pre-check service. We ask the authors to first submit a short description (no more than 500 words) of the resource to the Editors-in-Chief to ensure relevance prior to preparing a submission. (See https://tgdk.org/si/2024-resources.html for details.) == Publication == Accepted journal articles will be published in a Special Issue of Transactions on Graph Data and Knowledge. As a Diamond Open Access journal, official versions of accepted TGDK articles (as accessible via DOI) are published by Dagstuhl Publishing and made available for free online without fees for authors nor readers. Dagstuhl Publishing also provides means to publish resources, which can be used by authors to ensure the long-term sustainability and archiving of their work. == Timeline == The timeline for this Special Issue is as follows: * Pre-check: June 3, 2024 * Submissions: June 20, 2024 * Author Notifications: August 31, 2024 * Revisions: September 30, 2024 * Author Notifications: October 31, 2024 * Publication: Q4 2024 (We encourage authors to perform the pre-check with the Editors-in-Chief as soon as possible, potentially much earlier than the deadline of June 3, 2024.) == Editors == The Special Issue will be managed by the Editors-in-Chief of TGDK: * Ian Horrocks – University of Oxford, U.K. * Lalana Kagal – Massachusetts Institute of Technology, U.S. * Andreas Hotho – University of Würzburg, Germany * Aidan Hogan – IMFD; DCC, University of Chile, Chile == Further details == Please see https://tgdk.org/si/2024-resources.html for further details.
