Second edition of the Knowledge Graph Construction Challenge at the Fifth International Workshop on Knowledge Graph Construction

*Second edition of the Knowledge Graph Construction Challenge at the
Fifth International Workshop on Knowledge Graph Construction
*(#KGCW2024) in conjunction with ESWC2024
[https://2024.eswc-conferences.org/]

**************************************************************
*Workshop date*: 26/27th of May 2024
*Expression of Interest in the Challenge*: 31st of January 2024 AoE
*Results submission*: 30th April 2024 AoE
*Report paper (optional)*: 12th of May 2024 AoE

***************************************************************

Knowledge graph construction of heterogeneous data has experienced
widespread adoption in the last decade from compliance
to performance optimizations with respect to execution time. However,
other metrics related to the required resources e.g., CPU or memory
usage are not considered.
This challenge aims at benchmarking knowledge graph systems for a
combination of these metrics.

The second edition of the Challenge on KG construction aims to assess
*- Track 1: the compliance with the new RML specification
*(https://w3id.org/rml/portal)
*- Track 2: the performance of different engines with respect to a
benchmark*, soon available on the Challenge’s website

Any engine that transforms heterogeneous data into RDF graphs is welcome
to submit its results to one of the two (or both tracks).*
You can participate with any engine, it is not limited to the main
developers of an engine to participate.*
Thus, we invite anyone who develops engines, changes existing engines,
or wants to assess the performance of an existing engine to participate.
All details regarding the challenge will be ready soon, *please confirm
your interest to participate in the challenge by filling out this form*
(https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1nc1Fr8m-uoIRtyaV9pFvM_bD7tGd-QIXE8D5BFpFBy0)
*before January 31th 2024 AoE. *

We strongly encourage you to fill out this form because we need to
arrange hardware for participants.
Participants will have access to unified hardware with similar
specifications to be able to compare the tools!
You can always join our Slack channel to stay up-to-date regarding the

*Submission guidelines
---------------------------------*
Participants of the Challenge*only require to submit their results*.
*Optionally, a report paper* can be submitted to appear within the
proceedings of the workshop.
Report papers will have to follow the same guidelines and format as the
Workshop.

Report paper (optional): 12th of May 2024 AoE
Workshop: 26/27th of May 2024

At least one author of each engine needs to present the results during
the workshop (virtual presentations are not allowed).
