Dear Colleagues, I am looking for advice, success stories, lessons learned about building semantic competencies in a software development organization. Specifically, to reach a maturity level at which the organization can work productively with the W3 RDF stack in an open web platform through all phases, from schema modeling to datastore administration and programming to linked data platform design and implementation. What types of people are suited for this work? What background knowledge and experience is helpful (or harmful!)? Where do you find suitable candidates for this type of work, or how do you develop in-house programmer/analysts? What training programs or websites have you found useful? I take it as given that management commitment is important, but are there any specific advocacy materials that you have found effective? Any specific techniques for socializing this approach to all stakeholders? Sincere thanks in advance for your thoughts. Best, --Paul
