Open position for a Scientific Collaborator / Postdoctoral Researcher (80%-100%) to join the Institute of Informatics, University of Applied Sciences and Arts Western Switzerland (HES-SO) (https://www.hevs.ch/), Sierre, Switzerland

Starting Date: 1st of October (or common agreement)

Salary range: 81K -113K CHF (80K-110K EUR)

Topic
=====
The successful applicant will join a team of researchers working on Artificial Intelligence (Knowledge Graphs, Data Analytics and Machine Learning) and Decentralized Systems applied to healthcare and sustainability. Application domains include personalized health coaching, knowledge management for decarbonization and sustainability, computational persuasion, chronic disease monitoring, semantic interoperability, decentralized health systems, ontology-based knowledge management. Projects include collaborations with healthcare partners, startups and companies, at local, national and international level.


Work environment
================
-     The successful applicant will join the Institute of Information Systems and participate to the activities of the newly created SENSE Research and Innovation Center (https://the-sense.ch ), in collaboration with the CHUV hospital.
-     The applicant will have a strong autonomy and will be able to participate in national and international projects and collaborate in interdisciplinary publications.
-     The offices are in the heart of the Swiss Alps, close to several ski resorts. Many outdoor sports are possible during the whole year (skiing, hiking, etc.).

Requirements for the position
=========================
-     PhD in Computer Science
-     Knowledge Graphs and Semantic Web technologies      
-     Research experience in Data and Knowledge management.
-     Experience in eHealth is an advantage.
-     Machine learning libraries, frameworks and models is a plus
-     Prototyping skills
-     Knowledge of Python or Java/Scala
-     Excellent social skills for collaboration with academic and industrial partners.
-     Excellent knowledge of English
-     Knowledge of French or German is a plus.
