Call to host ISWC2024

Hey everyone,

On behalf of the Semantic Web Science Association (SWSA), the organisation that runs the International Semantic Web Conference (ISWC) series, I'm reaching out with a call for hosts for ISWC2024.

We will accept bids from all over the world - however, as the conference tends to rotate between Europe, the Americas, and the Asia-Pacific region, we will give preference to bids from the Americas.

More information about the call, hosting guidance, and application process can be found at [1].

At this stage we're seeking expressions of interest, which should be submitted, using the form linked at [1] to me via email. In the next step SWSA will review all expressions of interest and shortlist bids, with the aim to request formal, more detailed applications in the first half of August. The strongest bids will be asked to present to the SWSA members in an online meeting close to ISWC 2022. Decisions will be made during this year's conference [2].

Summary of important dates:

*       July 22, 2022: Deadline for receiving statements of interest (form linked at [1]).
*       August 12, 2022: Notifications to shortlisted bids are sent out.
*       September 16, 2022:  Formal applications received from shortlisted bids (documents linked at [1]).
*       October/November 2022: Presentation of the bid at the (virtual) SWSA meeting. SWSA decides on the location for the 2022 conference.
