digest of dataset

Hi all,

I suppose that teh Data Catalog Vocabulary (DCAT, 
https://www.w3.org/TR/vocab-dcat-2/) may be straightforwardly extended 
to cope with digest of dataset downloadable files (dcat:Distribution 
with a downloadURI) in order, for example, to verify that the downloaded 
file has not been altered by malitious agent (man-in-the-middle). I 
wonder if there are some experiment or example about this topic.
