Semantic web has been there many times before, under various names. Some of that history visible here: https://medium.com/@schivmeister/the-semantic-web-where-is-it-now-f4773f3097e3. Meanwhile we have many Fortune 500 clients being quietly productive with it. And interest seems to only be growing. -- Mark Wallace Ontologist, Project Manager, Software Architect [1518141609571_sa-logo.png]<http://semanticarts.com> ________________________________ From: Hans <hanscools@breitband.ch> Sent: Wednesday, August 19, 2020 4:21 PM To: semantic-web@w3.org <semantic-web@w3.org> Subject: Re: Ontologies and Graphs in the Hype Cycle I (like to think that I) 'm already on the plateau of productivity :). Always need to take with a grain of salt what the analyst and pundits have to say, but this is definitely a milestone for this community IMO. -- Juan Sequeda, Ph.D www.juansequeda.com<http://www.juansequeda.com>
