10th International Conference on Knowledge Capture (K-CAP 2019)
“Multi-modal Knowledge Capture in the Age of Big Web Data”

The Tenth International Conference on Knowledge Capture is aimed at
attracting researchers from diverse areas of Artificial Intelligence,
including knowledge representation, knowledge acquisition, intelligent
user interfaces, problem-solving and reasoning, planning, agents, text
extraction, machine learning, information enrichment and visualization,
as well as researchers interested in cyber-infrastructures to foster the
publication, retrieval, reuse, and integration of data.

    Call for Workshops and Tutorials

The International Conference on Knowledge Capture (K-CAP) provides a
forum that brings together members of diverse research communities who
are interested in efficiently capturing knowledge from a vast range of
sources, including human experts, and in creating representations that
can be useful for building knowledge-intensive services in a variety of
fields, such as the semantic web, knowledge management, e-business,
natural language processing, intelligent information integration, and so on.

The focus of the 10th edition of K-CAP will be on “Multi-modal Knowledge
Capture in the Age of Big Web Data”. Besides a research and an
application track, K-CAP will host a number of workshops and tutorials
on topics related to the theme of the conference.

K-CAP workshops provide an informal setting where the participants have
the opportunity to discuss specific technical topics in an atmosphere
that fosters the active exchange of ideas. Our aim for the workshop
program is to promote and collect multidisciplinary research directions
that contribute to knowledge capture from a variety of sources. In the
same vein, K-CAP tutorials enable attendees to fully appreciate current
issues, main schools of thought, and possible application areas.

We encourage the submission of workshops and tutorial proposals on all
topics that fall in the general scope of K-CAP 2019, from traditional
knowledge acquisition techniques to more modern approaches. In
particular, we encourage the submission of workshop and tutorial
proposals related to the special focus “Multi-modal Knowledge Capture in
the Age of Big Web Data”. A non-comprehensive, but indicative list of
potential topics was provided earlier in the Call for Research and
Application Papers.

Workshop and tutorial proposals should be submitted as a single PDF file
of no more than 4 pages. The submission should be done by June 1, 2019
via email at workshopsAndTutorialsKCAP@gmail.com
<mailto:workshopsAndTutorialsKCAP@gmail.com>, and please specify in the
subject line whether the submission is in the Workshop or Tutorial
category. Please use the ACM 2 column SIG Conference Proceedings
template <https://www.acm.org/publications/proceedings-template> for
your submission. All inquiries should be directed to
workshopsAndTutorialsKCAP@gmail.com
<mailto:workshopsAndTutorialsKCAP@gmail.com> .
