3 full-time Ph.D. positions in Search / Recommender Systems in Cologne, Germany

the project partners TH Köln (University of Applied Sciences), GESIS - Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences and ZB MEB - Information Center for Life Sciences offer three open Ph.D. positions in Search / Recommender Systems to be filled for 3 years (full-time).

The project partners collaborate on the project "STELLA - Infrastructure for Living Labs" funded by the DFG (the DFG is a self-governing organization for science and research in Germany). The project aims at developing a Living Labs infrastructure for online evaluations of search and recommender systems. Furthermore, the scope comprises to integrate the Living Labs infrastructure into the own applied research in the area of information retrieval and recommender systems. Pursuing a PhD within the scope of project is very much encouraged.
