Semantic Web Interest Group now closed

Dear Semantic Web Interest Group Members,

This message is to inform you that the Semantic Web Interest Group [1]
is now closed, having passed the end of its charter [2] period.

The Semantic Web Interest Group was designed as a forum to support
developers and users of Semantic Web technologies such as RDF, SPARQL,
SKOS and OWL.

It has served that purpose well for many years. With the introduction
of Community Groups we now encourage the participants in the IG forum to
establish Community Groups to continue the conversations. The public IG
mailing lists will remain in place for now to facilitate smooth
transitions to Community Group fora.

W3C thanks the group chair, Dan Brickley (Google), and all the
participants in the group for their active participation in this forum.

If you have any further questions, please contact Ivan Herman <ivan@w3.org>.

This announcement follows section 5.2.7 of the W3C Process Document [3].

For Tim Berners-Lee, Director,
Ralph Swick, Architecture and Technology Lead; and
Ivan Herman, W3C Team Contact;
