The department of Informatics, Systems and Communication (DISCo) of the University of Milano-Bicocca (UNIMIB) opens an assistant professor (researcher) position under fixed-term full-time contract, with research and teaching duties. The position is opened in the context of the EW-Shopp H2020 innovation project (http://cordis.europa.eu/project/rcn/207028_en.html) to work on cross-lingual and cross-domain data integration and analytics. The candidate is expected to conduct research on semantic integration methods to enrich business data with third-party data from very large data sources and create advanced analytics in the field of digital marketing, business analytics, and data science. ** Profiles & Job details ** Duration: 3 years, starting in Summer 2017 Requirements: PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fields. Salary: 34900 € per year before taxes (approx. 23500 € after taxes), Candidates must be committed and keen to work in a collaborative environment that includes research institutions and companies from different countries. We are looking for a highly qualified postdoctoral researcher in Data Management (or related areas, including Artificial Intelligence and Interaction Design), possibly familiar with semantic web technologies and/or data integration topics, interested in working with smart data integration technology to support data analytics. Moreover, he or she will be involved in teaching assistantship in bachelor or master courses (English or Italian). Candidates must have a strong publication record and/or experience in applied research in a related field. The group comprises one full professor, two associate professors, one assistant professor (coordinator of the project) and several postdocs and PhD students.
