BTI is looking for talented PhD students, with a commitment to Creativity and Innovation.

Positions: 4

General Requirements:

 *   Work experience in software engineering/developing
 *   Ability to develop well-designed, testable, efficient applications/tools/methods/algorithms
 *   Ability to design and develop relational and/or graph databases
 *   Ability to document requirements and specifications


Preferable Skills:

 *   Semantic Technologies (e.g. RDF, SKOS, OWL, RML, R2RML, SWRL, JENA, RDF4J, LOD)
 *   Programming languages (e.g. Java, Python)
 *   Machine Learning algorithms’ understanding
 *   Natural Language Processing technologies (e.g. Stanford CoreNLP API, GATE)
 *   Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) frameworks


Knowledge or willingness to learn and work on (one of the topics):

 *   Knowledge/Ontology Engineering: Human-centered engineering of Knowledge Graphs
 *   Semantic Data Management/Linked Data
    *   Semantic data access, integration and interlinking
    *   Knowledge graphs analysis and visualization
 *   Internet of Things: Semantic modeling of trustworthy IoT
