********************************************************************************* Call for Papers: 5th International Workshop on Graph Structures for Knowledge Representation and Reasoning (GKR2017@IJCAI) http://www.lirmm.fr/~hecham/GKR/index.html IJCAI Workshop dates: August 19th-25th, 2017 - GKR 2017 will be on one day ********************************************************************************* Graph-based knowledge representation and reasoning is a growing area of research, with more and more important contributions appearing over the last few years. Such KR&R systems include Bayesian Networks (BNs), Semantic Networks (SNs), Conceptual Graphs (CGs), Formal Concept Analysis (FCA), CP-nets, GAI-nets, Argumentation Graphs, Euler Diagrams, Existential Graphs all of which have been successfully used in a number of applications (Semantic Web, Recommender Systems, BioInformatics, etc.). The goal of this workshop is to bring together the researchers involved in the development and application of graph-based knowledge representation formalisms and reasoning techniques. This workshop will investigate further developments of knowledge representation and reasoning graph-based techniques. The workshop is expected to bring together people from different research communities that are actively pursuing this line of research. We hope that the presentation of different perspectives on employing graphs for representation and reasoning will be mutually enriching and will stimulate further research. The workshop welcomes contributions that *address graph-based representation and reasoning* paradigms from a theoretical, algorithmic and application viewpoint. The formalisms of interest include but are not limited to: o Bayesian Networks o Graphical Models for Preferences (CP-Nets, GAI-Nets) o Graphs in Argumentation o Conceptual Graphs o Graph-based KR Languages for the Semantic Web o Semantic Networks o Formal Concept Analysis o Existential Graphs o Euler Diagrams Examples of *application domains* for using graph based knowledge representation and reasoning include, but are not limited to: * Semantic Web * Bioinformatics * Multi-Agent Systems * Recommender Systems * Argumentation The papers will be judged from two perspectives, technical and application: * Technical results will include graph-theory based results for novel structures for representation, extensions of existing structures for added expressivity, conciseness, optimisation algorithms for reasoning, reasoning explanation mechanisms, etc. * Papers reporting on application experience will be expected to demonstrate the benefits of the proposed solutions. Important Dates: * May 8th, 2017 - Submission Deadline * June 9th, 2017 - Workshop paper acceptance notification * June 26th, 2017 - Deadline for final camera ready copy * August 19th-25th, 2017 - GKR 2017 Workshop (1 day) Papers should be submitted via Easychair: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=gkrijcai2017 For page limits and formatting instructions, please visit http://www.lirmm.fr/~hecham/GKR/submission.html.
