Dear colleagues, I'd like to draw your attention to an exciting position at the Computational Social Science department at GESIS: 1 Position (pre/postdoc) in Computational Social Science (f/m) (salary group 13 TV-L, 75%, initially for 2 years) at GESIS Leibniz Institute for Social Sciences, Cologne, in a DFG funded project that is conducted in collaboration with University of Koblenz-Landau, Germany, FU Berlin and Stanford University. The DFG project aims at understanding social dynamics in collaborative knowedge engineering initiatives such as Wiki Data, Collaborative Protege, or Semantic Mediawikis. The ideal candidate has experience in one or several of the following fields: Semantic web, ontology engineering tools and methods, biomedical ontologies and/or domain ontologies in general, (social) network analysis, and –algorithms, statistical modeling of user behavior. The candidate should have completed (or should soon complete) a MSc/PhD in Computer Science or a related discipline and have strong programming skills. The ideal candidate has first experience in designing and conducting research and publishing results in conferences and journals.
