ABOUT WISE 2014 ------------------------ WISE is a peer-reviewed International conferences series which has so far established a solid community which aims at high quality research work and it offers the ground for advancing and progressing efforts in Web information systems addressed topics and audiences. Previous WISE conferences were held in Hong Kong, China (2000), Kyoto, Japan (2001), Singapore (2002), Roma, Italy (2003), Brisbane, Australia (2004), New York, USA (2005), Wuhan, China (2006), Nancy, France (2007), Auckland, New Zealand (2008), Poznan, Poland (2009), Hong Kong, China (2010), Sydney, Australia (2011), Paphos, Cyprus (2012) and Nanjing, China (2013). The aim of this 15th edition of the conference series on Web Information Systems Engineering is to provide an international forum for researchers, professionals, and industrial practitioners to share their knowledge in the rapidly growing area of Web technologies, methodologies and applications. TOPICS OF INTEREST --------------------------- WISE2014 welcomes all workshop proposal submissions that fall in the domain of Web information systems engineering. The decision on acceptance/rejection of workshop proposals will be made on the basis of the overall quality of the proposal, its appeal to a viable fraction of the Web community as well as how it fits in with the conference. In order to meet these goals, workshops should address topics that satisfy the following criteria: * the topic falls in the general scope of WISE 2014 * there is a clear focus on a specific technology, problem or application * there is a sufficiently large community interested in the topic In particular, we encourage the submission of workshop proposals on: * Web Information Retrieval; * Web Data Models; * Web search and information extraction; * Web Mining and Web Warehousing; * Web engineering, metrics and performance; * Deep/Hidden Web; * Web-based Business Processes and Web Services; * Web-based Enterprise Systems; * Web Security and Trust Management; * Web Tools and Languages; * Visualisation for the Web and Rich Web UI; * Web-based Applications (e.g., e-Commerce, e-Government, e-earning, etc.) * Social Web models, analysis and mining; * Social Networks Computing; * Social Web and Applications; * Web big data techniques and mining; * Integration of Web and Internet-connected Objects (IoT); * Semantic Web; * Web Agents and Web Intelligence; * Linked Data; * Web Data Integration and mashups; * Mobile Web; * Web privacy management; * Cloud Computing; * Future Internet Architectures and Protocols IMPORTANT DATES ------------------------- 3rd March, 2014 Workshop Proposal submission 7th March, 2014 Workshop Notification of Acceptance 13th October, 2014 Workshops Date SUBMISSION INSTRUCTION ------------------------------------ Proposals should include the following information: * Title * Workshop (co-)chair(s) with a brief bio * Abstract: Summary of the workshop purpose (max. 200 words) * Motivation: Why is the topic timely and of particular interest to WISE participants? (max. 200 words) * Topics: list of topics for which contributions are sought (include reference to the list of topics above) * Proposed length of the workshop, its structure, and anticipated number of attendees * Workshop Format: The intended mix of events, such as paper presentations, invited talks, panels, demos and general discussion (either a tabular schedule or a one paragraph summary) * Related Workshops and Conferences: Is this the continuation of a workshop series or a new workshop to address an emerging issue? Please provide information about past versions of this workshop and other related workshops (including URLs and submission/acceptance counts, if available). WISE2014 will provide administrative support in the areas of registration, hotel meeting rooms, and publication of the workshop proceedings in Springer.
