Apologies if you receive multiple copies of this CFP. ----------------------------------------------------- CALL FOR PAPERS DESWeb 2014 5th International Workshop on Data Engineering Meets the Semantic Web Co-located with ICDE 2014 Chicago, IL, USA http://desweb2014.cs.aau.dk/ ----------------------------------------------------- *** Focus *** The DESWeb workshop on "Data Engineering meets the Semantic Web" aims at bringing together researchers from two traditionally separated communities: Semantic Web and Databases. Although in recent years the two communities have been getting closer, there is still great potential for mutual collaboration and benefit. *** Call for regular paper submissions *** The DESWeb workshop solicits short papers (of up to 6 pages in the IEEE format) on research results and ongoing projects in this thematic area. Topics of interest include but are not limited to: * Structured data on the Web * Ontologies and data integration * Scalable triple stores and query processing * Linked data and entity resolution * Knowledge graphs * Reasoning over Web data and services * Semantic authoring and crowdsourcing * Provenance and trust in Web data * Distributed query processing and optimization * Data quality and uncertainty * Data freshness and updates * Data mining and knowledge discovery * Semantic Search and all other topics at the crossroads of Semantic Web and Data Engineering research. *** Call for late-breaking results, visions, or challenges *** We also encourage the submission of short papers (of up to 3 pages in the IEEE format) with late-breaking results, visions, or challenges. The main objective of such papers is to start a discussion on difficult and open problems or outline visions of future systems and approaches. *** Important Dates *** Submission deadline for regular papers: November 4, 2013 Submission deadline for late-breaking results & visions: November 4, 2013 Notification to authors: December 6, 2013 Camera-ready versions : December 20, 2013 *** Submission Instructions *** Authors are invited to submit original, unpublished research papers that are not being considered for publication in any other forum.
