CfP LSWT2013: 5. Leipziger Semantic Web Days/ Leipziger Semantic Web Tag 2013, September 23rd/24th 2013

We are happy to invite you to our Leipzig Semantic Web Days/ Leipziger 
Semantic Web Tag <http://aksw.org/LSWT> (LSWT) with the topic "From Big 
Data to Smart Data".

Since 2009 the LSWT offer an opportunity for business companies and 
organizations to exchange views on semantic technologies but also to get 
in touch with companies from the German-speaking world. Many companies 
deployed semantic web technologies to a greater extent within the last 
years. Especially the Linked Data Paradigm evolved from a research 
centered theme to a number of industry relevant technologies and 
applications. This year's LSWT will take place on the 23rd and 24th of 
September 2013 as a part of the SABRE multi conference. The main day of 
the LSWT will be the 23rd which is followed by an evening event. 
Tutorials as a means of knowledge transfer will take place the next day 
(24th) and aim at an in-depth analysis of the core topics.

The LSWT focus on the demonstration of these technologies via reports 
hold by industry and economy experts. Within the frame of our motto 
"From Big Data to Smart Data" we are especially interested in the 
following topics:

  * Interconnection of public data of administrations and governments:
    Transparency for citizens and valorization for enterprises and economy,
  * BigData and the Semantic Web: Scalability of databases and data
    integration within enterprises,
  * Unlocking the Semantics of Text: text analysis within the semantic web.


This year's LSWT is part of the Leipzig Days of Applied Informatics, 
which are organized by the InfAI (Institute of Applied Informatics).

still searching for speakers, demonstrations, sponsors and tutorials.  
Many of the participants and speakers will be from Germany, but we are 
welcoming contributions in English as well.  We are open for your

        Keynote: Hans Uszkoreit - Big Data and Text Analytics


It is part of the challenges of our time to deal adequately with our 
inheritance: the vast quantity of texts within the World Wide Web. 
Through the combination of scalable statistical models with intelligent 
rule based systems a promising perspective is opened. This includes 
producing a fine grained, versatile and translingual "knowledge-graph", 
which serves another range of applications.
